  2. Any chance these are still for sale???
  3. Hi guys, yeah Bruce Iv seen the blue zed around I was inspecting it out the front of morwell Kawasaki a while ago
  4. thanks for the help
  5. Yeah I know all about the search function, not really new to the internet thing mate, both of the posts you linked have different part numbers hence why I am asking. Was just looking for conformation as one of the links(that I found when I searched) you have is from 2009. cant hurt to ask. Thanks Dimitri. I still have all of the auto tranys that I got off you, one has a shift kit in it. looking forward to seeing how it shifts...when I finally get it going. This out of one of your posts do you remember if this is still correct? Found out today in the Koni Yellows for 240z that the 8641-1060SPORT fit in the front and rear... A 20mm spacer is needed for the front pair though (with a small loss in travel the only downside). Thanks again to Ray Bell for chasing up the Koni's!
  6. Hi Guys, so Koni yellows?? anyone know where to get them from, and what the actual part numbers are, and if the are a straight swap. I dont want to section my struts. I had a Tokico kit but sold it cause they sent me the wrong one and am only getting round to replacing them again want Konis but only yellows Dimitri didnt you have yellows??
  7. Thanks Dave shes number 000353
  8. lowered 1inch for 280/260 but standard for a 240
  9. Yeah mate just trying to save someone some postage on a 280 tokico kit, like i said cost me $900 to get it here with the rest of the gear i got from the states company asked me if i could get rid of it so they dont have to pay for there fuck up, don't see how i'm making a quick buck, but anyway If anyone else can find a cheaper price for brand new gear then let me know what it is and Il put it to them. If not il just send it back. Part no. for the shocks are: BZ3012 Front, BZ3013 rear Thanks
  10. Hey Tim, for a 280z, they will fit a 240 but the spacer needs to be cut for the rear shocks, the gland nuts are to large for the 240 strut housing and the springs will give you a standard ride height if installed in a 240. Not a big deal to make the kit fit a 240 but not what I ordered, so they are sending me the correct kit
  11. Brand New Still in box. Sent the wrong one I have a 240 so no good to me. Kit contains: 280Z KIT 4x Tokico Springs 4x Tokico Illumina Adjustable Struts 4x New Gland Nuts Part no. for the shocks are: BZ3012 Front, BZ3013 rear Springs: 5022f 5022r 185lbs front 200lbs rear I think $750 got them last week cost me $900 PM if your interested. Luke
  12. haha Pete, I might have a bit of trouble seeing out of the windscreen but it would be cool
  13. Hey Dimitri, yeah mate that's the one got the shift kit in and its ready to go....pitty the rest of the cars not Can recommend Tim on this site for the shift kit was a pleasure to deal with. So the car itself is a 1971 240z HS30-00353 auto...yeah that's wright auto power people. I think shox.com is probably ok, a 280 kit instead of 240 is fairly easy mistake to make, but it took about a week to get it ordered, emails back and forth about my billing address being different to my shipping address blah blah blah. Didn't stop them from taking the money the day I ordered but. So after all that when you get it and its not the kit you ordered...well I got a bit pissed off. Anyhow as for the engine think i'll pop the L24 back in her with some new rings and bearing and down the track id like to put a quad cam V8 in. Thanks for the welcome everyone Luke
  14. Hey Guys, Thought it about time I introduced myself. Ive been lurking on here for a couple of years now, had my 240 zed for about eight. Bought it when I was about 20 and in the exuberance of youth striped it bare and had it resprayed. There it sat for eight years. Other cars, bikes, women, work, always got in the way. But over the last couple of months Iv finally been doing a bit here and there. New floor pans. Rubber kit from Vintage rubber(F@#$ing expensive) Carb kits from Z therapy. and Tokico illumina strut/spring kit. Energy suspension bush kit. Got the Tokico kit from shox.com, when it arrived looked at the part numbers and its all for a 280z. Not what I ordered!!!! So sent them a pissed off email the kind were after you send it yo think I probably shouldn't have said that but this was the second time I had a problem dealing with them in as many days and about my 6th communication with them. They say they have ordered the wright kit from tokico and will send it asap....so time will tell. Looking at the quality of the struts I they are no Koni's The adjuster on the strut top is plastic and feels very flimsy would like to have seen it made from steel. But for the price I don't see anything else around. If you have the extra cash go Koni yellows. Any how heres some pics
  15. Yeah no hope of tracking it down. I bought the zed about 8 years ago, no idea off of who. Had it resprayed and it has sat there until now. I'm about to start putting goodies into it, probably start a build thread soon too
  16. Hey guys, My Zed is a 1971 240 with Chassis No. HS30-00353 Doesn't have to original l24 in it but. So my question is should I try and keep it original is this a rare or rarer zed? I was going to put bolt on flares on it but should I go hacking the original panels?
  17. haha thought you might Pete

  22. Hey Peter was hoping you would seen this. That would be awesome mate Ill pm ya
  23. So this will be my first engine rebuild. Pulled a piston out today to check things out do some measuring. I was going to just do a hone job and some new rings, but after looking at the end gap of the old rings, I'm not sure ill get away with it. the gap is about 3mm, nowhere near the 0.23-0.38 the manual says it should be I really didn't expect the proper ring gap to be so small thought the rings would expand and seize but after looking around the net seems to be the norm. (like I said first time engine rebuild) As I said before, I just wanted to do a ring and bearing job, it still has the original std size pistons and they seem OK but the piston to bore clearance was out a fair bit too. I don't have a cylinder micrometer so haven't checked the bore size I was hoping someone might tell me that its just what happens when the rings were out, just get some new rings in std size?? What do you guys think?
