  4. Woops didn't realise I put 240Z, should be 260Z. (Not sure how to edit thread title) Anyways, from what you've said about the doors GongZ, I guess I'm after a driver side 280Z door with a rubber sash to match the one pictured, there's an inlet for the rubber it's not glued on.
  5. Attached some pics of what I'm after, need the frame with the rubber
  6. Hi guys, I'm after the chrome frame that makes up the upper part of the door, preferrably with the felt inlet on the inside and rubber on the outside that seals to the door frame PM for contact details Cheers Luke
  7. Hi all, I've seen a couple older posts talking about problems with the mechanical switch that alternates the lights from the normal light loop to the high beam loop, I'm having the same problem with my 73' 240Z and need to find a replacement. I was wondering if this switch is the same across the years of zeds and if anyone has been able to get the part without having to buy the entire assembly. Cheers Luke

    Interior Panels

Hi all, I'm looking for plastic interior panels for my 73' 240Z, I have none except the plastic panel for the back hatch. I live in Sydney so PM with the details of what you have and i'll get back to you as soon as I can. Getting all of these parts in one go would be great. Cheers Luke
  9. Hey guys, can't find the Hinges for the bonnet among my pile of parts. Looking for a pair in/near Sydney. Cheers, Luke
  10. Thanks guys for the welcomes. Story...umm I've always been big on classic cars and in high school, which wasn't that long ago, me and my mates would go to the arcades and play these racing games. There was this game that featured the 240Z along side all modern jap sports cars, GTRs, Evos, which I guess is the first time I saw it. Since then it's been my dream car and ever since I got my license i've been hunting for one that I could afford and slowly restore. I'm studying mechatronic engineering (think combo mechanical/electrical/programming) and work as a courier. Car history, first car was a '96 Commodore Ute, converted it to LPG. Sold that and found a damaged '98 Peugeot 306 which me and the old man fixed up that I run around in now. I'll be working a lot with my old man on the body of this car, outside of a tafe course I don't have much experience welding. But otherwise, i'll be doing most of the chasing up most of the parts and stuff. Hope that answers everything mate
  11. Hi all, my name is Luke. I've been lurking around for a while and was encouraged to introduce myself on the forum. I recently purchased, just rolled off the tow truck this arvo, a '73 240Z from Loui, http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,9734.15.html , a local zed who was very friendly, offered much advice and who spoke highly of getting involved with the site and asking questions. Plan on restoring said car gradually with the help of my old man, keeping it relatively original, might even start up a journal on the forum. I welcome all advice, questions, comments and ramblings from other members and hope to become a more active member now that I have something to work on.
  12. Haha Id be glad to pay 7K for a rustless zed, naturally the better the condition the more money id be willing to pay for it.
  13. I'm looking for a 260Z (2+2 is fine) with no rust, manual transmission and an L26 engine. Id be glad to look at unfinished projects which people may have hanging or fork out a little extra for a finished zed. I live in Sydney but would seriously consider moving an exceptional restored car interstate. If people are looking to sell please PM me as much information on your car as you can spit out into a message, the more the better.
