RED ZX

Hey mate, just had a look through my parts. No louvre, BUT, I did find a 280ZX windscreen with no cracks. It is located in Kureelpa. Make an offer if you are interested.

Forgot to mention that the car has done about 30,000km with the RB20DET, and it never let me down. The engine got a new timing belt when I did the swap.

If I get a reasonable offer, sure. They are red with silver lettering.

I might have a rear window louvre. I will check on Saturday when I head up to the shed and let you know. How much is it worth to you?

Model: 1981 280ZX 2+2 + spare parts 280ZX Location: Sunshine Coast QLD Item Condition: Good - Fair condition Body: Rust removal and respray approx 5 years ago. since then has had paint chipped off just above left hand tail-light with some surface rust there now. Mechanical: Needs a battery but runs easily. Possible diff whine (cannot remember which car had this) Brakes and suspension need attention. Price and Payment Conditions: I am not trying to make money here, just pass this on to someone who will use it so lets say $3000 neg? QLD prestige plates "RED ZX" are negotiable. Registration: Not registered, has not been register for approx 2 years. Engineers Certificate: Mod plated for engine swap in QLD. Extra Info: Car was originally L28e and 5 speed. Currently runs an RB20DET with matching 5 speed manual. Stock Diff. Exhaust is custom 3inch dump into full custom 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust with 1 high flow muffler. Sounds good at idle and not too OTT. Intake is K&N pod mounted on 90* pipe to turbo, then 450*300mm FMIC in front of the Radiator. ECU is a professionally wired EMS 8860 with custom tune on a dyno. 221rwhp on standard boost (dyno sheet available). Brake discs are shot and callipers probably are too, but I have a spare 280ZX that will go with this one to pillage parts from. Suspension is still stock. Interior is in decent condition, carpet has some tears and seats might have a hole or 2 (been too long to remember) But it is still comfortable. R200 diff, I think it might have a slight whine in it. Wiring needs attention, as the headlight switch stopped working, but indicators still worked fine, so I just ran relays and 3 switches in the dash near the stereo for my lights. Again you could steal this stuff from the spare 280 I have and swap it over if you wish. As a result of my headlight wiring there are some random wires under the bonnet that need to be tidied up. I need the money to get my Classic falcon ready for the road. Out of all the cars I have had this is the one I miss driving the most. I have a pair of R32 GTS-T brake calipers that are left over from a half cut. If anyone wants them I can arrange pics. Make an offer if you are interested. Willing to post at buyers expense.

I think I have sold one gear box already for $250. $250 for other gearbox $300 for 99% complete good motor (has distributor but missing cap and rotor) $100 for unknown condition L28e + auto box. (was told it ran strong) $200 for 98% complete L28e (needs new rings, ran great, just used a bit of oil) $150 for R180 diff (3.54 i think) I think there are some other parts lying around as well. Its all going cheap so give me a yell with an offer if you need something.

Rear calipers are still there, it is an 81, but I cannot remember whether it was before or after the change. Again, I can look when I get up there this weekend.

Sorry, used the master cyl and distributor on my 260Z, I think I might have a spare distributor though. I will have a look this weekend and let you know.

I bought a 280ZX a couple years ago as a parts car. Now its time to sell some stuff off then junk the body (RUSSSTY!!!!!!!) Front suspension has been donated to my car. Engine is 98% complete and ran well when I drove it home. Gearbox is there and good. Diff still there and good (open wheeler 3.7 i think) Basically, if there is anything you need/want, ask me and I will see if it is there and usable.

Shaved/smoothed rear. No bumper. No cracks in original dash. Spare 99% complete L28e and 5 speed comes with it if interested. New tie-rods new drive shaft. New high voltage coil new 100W driving lights recent service (all filters and oil replaced less than 1000km ago) Interior mostly good, just ratty carpet, and 2 holes behind front seats where previous owner put speakers in.
