  2. Don't suppose anyone knows where to get a pair of new lower rod mount thingies? Saw a set on ebay for 80usd - surely they are available elsehwre cheaper?
  3. Yep we have removed the pin - it's still not keen to come out though! Is the mount just a threaded rod from front to back?
  4. Hey guys, Turns out I'm a derp and am having trouble getting the rear control arms off a 260z to change the bushes. The problem lies with the rear hub connecting to the outside of the control arm. Are they connected by a single large stud about 200mm long with a nut on either end? I have removed the nuts but cant work out how to disconnect the hub from the control arm. Maybe I'm having a dull moment, so any help would be great! Cheers
  5. If you are still looking for some new pre'81 280zx rack ends give GSL Rallysport a call - I've just ordered a pair off them for a pretty damn good price! Will let you know if they are correct when they arrive.
  6. Thanks for the replies guys, much appreciated - seems like there's a few ways to do things! I was hoping to replumb the whole car and ditch the stock valve etc. but I can't see how I'd be able to do a decent job of it with the engine and gearbx still in the car. So I thought I might just run the stock prop valve for now and see how it goes once the car is finally on the road. If the bias turns out to be a problem I'll have to bite the bullet, ditch the stock gear and replumb with a bias valve.
  7. Woah, you have been busy! Thankyou very much for sharing the info! Sorry I got a bit confused with all the part numbers and interchangeabilities, so just to confirm: I can use a pair of early 280zx rack ends on my 260z rack (will fit straight to rack) and then get a pair of 260z RHT tie rod ends and all will be good in the world?
  8. How much are you after for just the throttle body adaptor?
  9. Any luck with part numbers? I'm trying to chase down some rack ends for 260z
  10. Hey guys, I'm just sorting out the braking system on a 260z and am a little unsure about what to do about brake bias. The car is running a 1" Patrol master, hilux 4pot vented fronts and single pot r31 disk rears. I'm also planning on adding an adjustable proportioning valve in the rear line to tune brake balance. I haven't yet plumbed in the new master (the front and rear outlets are reversed compared to the original 7/8 unit) and was wondering what to do about the standard proportioning valves/distribution blocks. There are two of these blocks in the engine bay, do I need to keep these plumbed in or should I just ditch them given that I will run a screw-type adjuster in the rear line? Any advice would be great! Alex
  11. Hey guys, does anyone know where to get a 15/16 280zx master from? I haven't been able to find anyone that sells them new.
  12. Hey guys, Looking for some wheels to suit 260Z. I believe Z's require something around a 0 offset, but I'm no expert. Let me know what you have got, pics would be handy too. We're in Darwin so will need anything that tickles our fancy to be freighted up at our expense. Cheers, Paddles ps. Running R31 disc rear end and Hilux 4-spot fronts - I don't know if this changes the offset much?
