thanks for that info, im talking with the engineer today hopefully to find out some finer details about its legality in other states. an to clarify how it got through. as before the conversion was started the engineer was consulted on numerous occasions through out the process as to keeping everything legal. I might add i paid dearly for his advice and if wrong he can buy it. the whole car is forsale selling it complete in qld with a qld mod plate looks like the easiest way. and should know later today a bit more.

dont know really, i know i got mine through but it was boarderline. If others cant get it approved in there car i might have to sell the car complete

yes bottom one is la1 lb1 ls2 and the top is lk1 lk2 for seats being aus approved and fitted correctly. thats how i understood his explanation at the time.

one of the reasons i got mine passed was because the engineer who signed off on it who is one of the most reputable engineers around knows the guy who fabricated it all and fitted it up. He knows the fabricator does not cut corners and is not some back yard knob with out welding skills. this helps when the engineer knows the quality of the work. the steering arm was re-directed with a knuckle to fit the extractors, thats why its got the ls2 i have a price, im looking for about $8500 ono for it all. that includes pretty much everything, it would just about be impossible to buy the parts for that without any labor. it cost me well over that.

I havnt come up with a price because i really dont know what its worth but im working on coming up with it, as you can see i lost interest and its been sitting in my carport for 6 months, all covered in dust. have new project thats more my thing as far as car collecting goes an would like to build a house this year so zed car has to go. my number is 0408 778 952 if anyones interested in talking more about how its done, how i got it engineered, or they got any offers give me a call.

yeah mate nice car, i like it heaps, i recently bought a model of a red zed with flares off ebay very similar to yours and im going to make mine like the red model i got, then i seen yours, so im sure every colour has been done im just trying to come up with a nice finished product, mine is extremly quick, went past my girlfreinds WRX like it was standing still, i was side ways doing it so that says something, but im going LS2 and 6 speed with big single turbo next, my 400 chev and gearbox with the cross member an everything if someone else wants to put it in a Zed is for sale. I have also been onto ash, zr240 and hes doing me flares and front spoiler for package deal, pretty happy with that. Im about to throw up some pics of mine, well try at this stage.

hey Im pretty new to this forum stuff, and very new to Z cars, holden fan through and through but i like a Z and bought one.(love it too) I just wanted to start a thread for pics of any hot zeds people have pics of for ideas on my build. I been surfing through stuff on here and love the Red Z of Toecutter, very very nice rig. Anyway mine is running a 408ci chev with auto and runs a 11 sec pass could do 10s with a stall and diff gears as they let it down but its fast enough. Will be running 6 speed soon with a cage and flares when i find some and im going to circuit race it. throw up as many hot pics as you come across please! Ill throw up some pics of mine as soon as i work out how?
