great, thanks for the info. sounds like the old magnet in a rag is still a good idea, but some rust in a 30 odd year old car is to be expected !!

Hi, I am new to this site and looking for a 240 or 260z , one to do up while being a daily driven vehicle. maybe 6 or 7 k to spend tops... anyways, where are the main areas to look for rust and what other problems should i be on the lookout for. thanks guys
