gday guys, just wondering if anyone has one of these books laying around that i could have,buy or borrow to scan. must be this book because it is the one that looks at the early 260 without the smog and polution shit i think. so yeah any help would be great. yeh i know nick and i had a good chat with him we screwed around with it and the car seems to be holding idle rather good now and driving it is like a new motor so its so far so good. just need the carbs synced now and we should be good to do a final tune. any ideas how to sync carbs also i need a factory service manual for my car so i can tune her up. im possitive these carbs will work and i have faith that i will get them right. if not i have a 280zx efi system that is ready to bolt on but i really want to keep the old girl running as factory as possible.

i have just put a kit through the carbs they are in brand new condition and i just cant seem to get them running right and in sync with eachother there are all these adjustment screws and like three idle scres haha i really just need somone with years of datsun experience to tune it up but when i drive it it runs amazing like a brand new car just the idle mixture and the carb sync i think is the problem. i am going to replace my mechanical pump for an aftermarket solid state electric and up the psi to 4-6 and get the fuel preassure up there and consistant. my dad done the same years ago and he said it was a good thing he was running 6si pump on carb system with no worries and it helped with cold starts because the electric pump primed before start. so what that is fitted i want to take it to someone in the area with the nohow to tune it at idle the car is a one owner early 74 260z 2+2 i kitted the carbs and adjusted the bowls and choke to perfection the car has done 147,000 original Kms its an awsome car log books and all.

Any people from the wollongong area with 260z let us know. i need to tune up this fantastic automotive masterpiece 260z of mine i have tried everything even yelling at it and i just cant get it to run right. is there any mechanics in wollongong that know what they are doing and wont stuff me around. dave PS im gona sell it or roll it down a hill if this doesnt run properly. *edited to remove f-word

gday guys, just after some 260z SU flat top carbs i need a few things off them. if anyone has any they are throwing out please let me know i know they arnt the most desirable of carbs but in this case i need them. i dont care if they dont work but i need the small brass internal mesh filter that sits in them and also the choke diaphrams must work. everything else i dont care about. please get back to me asap soon it is important!!!!

trust lurch to say that lol. this is just out of curiosity because i have the opertunitiy to buy a cheap rb20 and i hate these cold starts in the morning, it bugs me how i cant just reach in through the wondow and just turn the key and have the car run while i get other shit ready. new cars dont have that problem it seems to be a really good idea to put the new motor in but 5 grans later done properly with after market computer and what not. this sounds like a big job. i got some thinking to do...

make adapter plates. ive seen it done with stud sunken in the adapter plates then that gets bolted to the carbs. easy

hello guys, i have a 260z with an L26 which is currently running points setup. i have heard that the L28 motors came out with an electronic ignition and that it is interchangeable with the L26 let me know if u got one guys. i found one in america but i want to look local before i send the money overseas regards dave
