ok rare spares just told me i can only get the front left and front right pans... what do i do about the rest of the floors? i.e. the section indernear the seat brackets? i had thought it was one piece?

yeah i dont have a problem welding in new pans... or where to get them for that matter but where you would ordinarily weld the pan too has excessive rust. should i just cut that out and replace with sheet metal befor putting i the new floors?

Surprise surprise, the floors need to be replaced on my 240z rusted through. just a question few questions about this ( bear in mind this is my first project car and im only good with mechanics i.e. still learning how to weld). Can you use 260 2+2 floor pans (cut shorter of coarse) to replace these? if not i'll just buy them, it'd just be cheaper for me which i know isn't a great thing to say but im on a pretty tight budget and secondly the rust damage to the floors has started creeping up the angled section behind the seat, the area you would normally weld the rear section of the floor pan. whats the best way to deal with that area? ( and sorry i dont know what its called. thanks guys AL - (novice restorer)

anyone know how to change your username on this short of reregistering? if you cant thats cool i'll just wear it, and reregister
