  1. Xenon spoiler if anyone's interested. Not real good on the cut & paste bit so here's the whole link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Xenon-Body-Kit-240Z-260Z-280Z-Front-Air-Dam-Brake-Ducts_W0QQitemZ150021124895QQihZ005QQcategoryZ38658QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Rick.

    Extractor options?

Hi guys, hope you don't mind me hijacking this thread, but I've been going through the header question in the last couple of weeks. I just bought some HM make 240Z headers (which were highly recommended) for my L28 240Z. I'm told there is no difference between the L24 & L28 as far as headers go - I hope that's right. Anyway, I went to fit them but it looks like I'll have to take off the carbies (SUs) and inlet manifold to do this, as it looks like they are bolted on top of the headers. Can anyone tell me if that's the case before I get in too deep? Thanks, Rick.
  3. FWIW, after the replies from this forum and researching other sites and speaking with people in the know, I've decided to stick with the stock box and a k&n or unifilter. Seems there is a strong body of opinion against going away from the stock box because open type units dwraw too much hot air unless you fabricate a cold air intake etc. which I'm not keen on doing at this stage. Thanks again for the replies.
  4. Don't know how I posted this in the 'Interior' section. Thanks for the replies anyway.
  5. Hi all, Has anybody fitted aftermarket filter setups (for performance) to their Z with success? I've done a search and couldn't find anything. Mine's an L28 with standard SUs. Thanks.
  6. How's your thermostat? I recently bought a 71 Z and had all sorts of problems warming up - found out I had no thermostat. Replaced it, and now it runs beautifully just using the choke as normal (original SUs set up).
