Base model for race entry with lighter Z432
◎ The body outer plate uses an iron plate 0.2mm thinner than the standard car
◎ From the base model 432 to 100kg or more lightweight
◎ Equipped with a 100ℓ capacity fuel tank for endurance races
◎ Very rare model with 30 and 50 units
The “Z432” line-up as a high-performance model of the S30 Fairlady Z equipped with the 2l DOHC S20 type unit, the same as the first-generation Skyline GT-R. Based on the 432, the
Z432R was manufactured in a very small number (30 to 50 units) as a base model for race entry .
It is characterized by a weight reduction of more than 100kg from the Z432 that became the base, the bonnet is made of FRP, and the body outer plate is an iron plate 0.2 mm thinner than the S30 standard car The side and rear windows are also equipped with lightweight acrylic. The fuel tank was equipped with a 100-liter capacity (standard 60-liter) special product that was supposed to enter the endurance race. The engine is basically the same as Z432, but the
air cleaner has been removed because it is assumed that the race base will be tuned, and the carburetor's funnel is exposed. The engine's maximum output itself is 160ps / 18kgm, no change from Z432. The interior has been simplified and comfort equipment such as radios and heaters have been omitted. In addition, a full bucket type with no reclining mechanism has been adopted. After that, it is a spartan specification that allows you to enter the race as soon as you equip the roll cage.
While
there are many “4 3 2 R specifications” based on S 30 Fairlady Z, this exhibit is a genuine “R” with the body number of “PS30-00289”. It is a very collectable vehicle with very good conditions.
