Been here long time but I usually keep my thoughts and comments to myself as there are people here with much more knowledge and experience than me. Have recently completed some work on my Z which has inspired me to introduce myself and my Z to you. I have no mechanical or fabrication qualifications but all work is done by me, at home in the shed applying the principals of trial and error is a proven technique.  :o

Have owned my Z for about nine years. It was purchased unregistered and required only a minimum of parts and work to be made roadworthy.

Work I have completed since owning the Z:

L28 ported head, cam, springs, lash pads, new timing gear

Rebuilt gearbox, diff needs doing

Lightened flywheel

Brake upgrade: Toyota front, R31 rear discs, larger master cylinder, rebuilt booster

Sectioned struts fitted with coil-overs and adjustable Konis

Front and rear strut braces

80 amp alternator, upgraded headlight system

Some interior mods

But what has inspired this article is the completion of aftermarket EFI conversion which I have been planning to do for about five years. Will start a build thread to show you how it all went together.

Cheers, DatoZed
