Hand brake - rear drums

Hi All,

 

any tips on getting the hand brake to look up the rear drums lower in the hand brake application?

 

I've tired adjusting the brake shoes to be closer to the brake drums but it didn't do much.

 

Shoes have ok meat on them last time I checked.

 

I'm not considering rear brake upgrade atm.

 

is there another way?

P.S ended up keeping the Z and am VERY happy I did.

There's an adjusting rod between the handbrake lever and the U-shaped equalizer under the car. I tried it on mine but it's maxed out already, but still worth checking.
