dalee Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Went of the GOR run with NSDOC on Sunday, fantastic day for it and great roads. I got a magnificent run from Anglsea to Apollo Bay, only 10km stuck behind people. Up to Lavers Hill back to the bay and out through Forest. They are doing road works out from skenes creek to forrest, widening the road, so it will be even better when they are finished. They have not sealed it yet number of spots there was gravel all over the corners, scary moments, and yea its sign posted at 60, mhp! We were 1hr late on the advertised leaving time into Anglsea, only missed then by 5 min through, and had to catch up in Apollo Bay. Couple of other z's on the run, they turned back early, so I missed catching up with them. No photos, to busy driving. Quote

24OZ Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 looks pretty straight compared to the roads in tassie when i was there on holiday :shock: got sea sick.....on dry land,quite an experience,was up near cradle mountain,locals don't seem to slow down though...made me feel quite like a grandad Quote
zedevan Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 my favorite section of the great ocean road is an inland bit between johanna bay and the 12 apostles where every corner is a recommended 30 but last time i was there, there were the road works, sure will b sweet when they are finished! i made my battery fly across and hit the engine and disconnect itself lol Quote
