bullzed Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Hey guys, I know it's not a Z part but just probing to see if there are any R30 or R31 skyline sedans out there that people are wanting to get rid of. I'm not looking for anything flash, just something mildly rusty, with minor mechanical troubles or problems alike. Decent interior preferably with the round series 2 lights. DatPilot Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Im a R30 enthusiast, and there are a few examples floating about. Your best bet is ebay, and also leave notes on windows! The R30 with round lights, is the import version (L20et or Fj20et engine), although you can still find them, they are very rare, and go for around $2000 to $10,000 The lights can be swapped onto an Aussie MR30, not hard at all. (Lights go for around $200 to $300 a pair) It would be EASIER to get an R31, much easier to get parts, the RB30e is a great engine, hell faster than an L6 (unmodified of course). The R31 doesnt handle as well, and is heavier, but still alot less hassles.... Quote

I can imagine all the things that could be done with the RB30e however the wiring does daunt me I'll keep looking around for R31's on eBay! Quote
