My Advice, get it running/rego'd, sort out any immediate rust problems to prevent them from getting worse, then just drive the thing for a couple of years. Save the resto for later, when you can afford to take it off the road for 6 months to ?? years.

 

I got my first 240Z when I was 17 and stripped and restored it, took a couple of years, and I had to buy another car (RA28 "Mustang" Celica) in the mean time to get around in.
