stram_man Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Hi I have installed the window mechanisms in a 240z I am building and the windows do not slide up and down smoothly. They seem to bind at the bottom. The glass also comes out of the felt channel at the back of the door and/or out of the plastic T channel at the front of the door. I have looked at it and in fact studied a reference door I have from a wreck. Does anyone have any words of wisdom? Terry Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted July 12, 2010 Moderators Posted July 12, 2010 Sometimes that felt thats in the window frame chanel hardens up over time making the window hard to move. You can buy that stuff new from Clark Rubber? Also there are adjustments for the window to make it tilt in or out; you will see a slotted bolt thread and a locknut. If you still can't get it, and if the car is driveable, take it to Rob at the Z Factory. He can do that with his eyes closed and one arm tied behind his back. Quote
