The only place I know where to get Zed right hand drive caps is Datsunparts.com in the States but only for 240 and any other Zed that that cap fits, they quoted me $300 freight...you could email them and find out if they possibly know who might sell caps over there for a 280....Datsunparts sell mainly 1600/2000 Roadster stuff

cheers for the reply, my only other option is vinyl spray , previous owner stuck some material on the dash with glue ,  a lot of work to clean off but im in no hurry

It's a problem isn't it, I've been rackin' my brains what to do about the crack in my dash, I'm not all that fussed about a half dash cap,  from what I've seen they don't fit properly or maybe the owner didn't fit it right...I'd be more inclined to use a full cap but where do you get em? that's the question

I've thought of the idea of stretching an ultra thin vinyl over the whole dash and glueing it on but then again where to get a flexible rubber like black thin vinyl about 0.2 - 0.3 mm thick

Another idea is to just glue a drinks tray over the cracks lol or fill the cracks with fertile soil and grow some roses for the chicks....plenty of ideas come to mind when faced with a mission impossible

you can buy a roll of vinyl for a dash on ebay ,thats what was on mine glued down  but it was painted on top will blue gloss , i think i will have to sand and fill the dash then use the vinyl spray i used on the consol looks good but it will be a lot of work and masking  but im not sure what to use to fill the cracks ?
