I have purchased another 240Z and the original plan was to keep this one as well for my son when he was old enough as they are both great examples of this popular car. Unfortunently I must sell this one now as I really don't have the room or the time for two projects. I am not in a rush to sell it but it must go some time.

Model: 1973' 240Z  HS30 103508

Location: Townsville, QLD

Item Condition: Very good, just needs putting togther.

Miles: 59,000 genuine (lady owner etc).

Body: Great condition. Had a lot of panel work down by previous owner. Resprayed in Monaro Red about 4 years ago and sat in storage since. Paint is very good in most places but there are some tiny bubbles in areas. I never actually gave it a good polish but it still looks like new the few times I've washed it. I replaced the 'holy' floor panels with new items as well as new custom chasis rails. The only rust is along the seam between the battery tray and the fire wall. Very minor and only found it recently as the body shop had applied a fibreglass spray over it. There is a scratch in the paint over the RH headlight bucket and a some paint missing on the very front of the bonnet lip. Other than that the car is very straight and has no 'damage' to any panels etc. It does have nutserts installed in the positions around the wheels arches for ZG flares.

Mechanical: Running L24 engine with sandblasted and rebuilt twin SU's and manifold. It has very flash headers installed too. A small section of exhuast was mocked up between the existing 'cat back' system (for lack of a better word) and the header flange. Block has a stamp on it saying it was rebuilt at VIC workshop. It also has an electronic 280ZX dizzy.

5 Speed gearbox.

R180 diff.

Standard suspension. I did start fitting coil over sleeves to the front but then bought the other 240Z, so standard 260Z front struts went back in.

Price and Payment Conditions: Asking price of $9500 ono

Registration: Selling unregistered

Extra Info: As the pics show I picked this car up in the way it was returned from a paint/panel shop. Almost everything stripped from the car. The interior was in storage and in great condition. The dash and seats were excellent. I slowly began putting the car back together. Anything that isn't installed in the pictures I probably have but it hasn't been installed yet. The dash has been put in to give a rough idea on what the car would look like if installed properly. All the wiring is in the back of the dash but the car never actually came with an original 'dash to engine bay' wiring loom. I have installed a small switch panel for electic fuel pump, ignition and starter motor for testing and driving around. I did pick up a 260 2+2 'dash to engine bay' wiring loom which shouldn't be too different and will be included with the sale.

Does the straw hat come with the car?  ;)

Looks great, just the kind of project I'm looking for, but the funds aren't quite there yet.

Good luck with the sale, mate. Who ever buys it is a lucky chap!
