You've finally found it! A rare gem of a 260z project waiting for the right pair of hands to bring this one back to life.

Up for sale is my, much-adored, 1976 260Z 2 Seater. I bought this car from Byron Bay about 12 years ago with the intention of fixing it up however a lack of time and space (and skill if I'm to be honest) has meant this gem has sat dormant for all of those years. Suffice to say that I have been collecting parts over the years to make the restoration easier. To that end I was able to secure a replacement center console which will replace the current one that is a bit damaged. The car has had a less-than-professional repair done to the roof where the sunroof used to be and I was fortunate enough to secure a replacement 260z roof cut (yes you read correctly). I also have a set of the original Hitachi round top carbs, that will come with the car, to replace the stock 260z units. There is a brand-new bonnet as well as a bunch of extra dials in case the current ones don't work that will also come with the car.

She needs a bit of work obviously but there-in lies the fun, if you have the time, skill, and tools. I'd say it's 95% parts complete but will obviously need a few parts here and there. Window glass is in the boot along with the radiator, manual transmission and a bunch of other parts.

This car was stored indoors by the previous owner and has been a lovely garage ornament at my house ever since. There appears to be very little rust. Having said that, I have not done a deep investigation to determine the condition of the chassis, but I am confident it will be solid.

This is a rare opportunity to own one of the only 260z 2 seaters for sale in Australia. No doubt it will continue to increase in value over time if restored correctly.

Item Condition: Fair

Body: Needs a good going over, probably bare metal to check for rust. Will obviously need a respray as well. Car has been stored indoors for at least the last 15 years.

Mechanical: Requires towing. Engine block is in the car and disassembled parts are supplied but not necessarily attached to the car. Manual Transmission is in the boot!

Registration: Not registered, currently has a Queensland plate on it.
