photos do wonders...

matters how much rust, but sounds like a pretty decent buy to me, was it 2600 with rwc or not, what motor is it running, what carbs, again pictures do wonders...

congradulations on the purcharse, and who cares what you paid for it, you have a Z now, thats all that matters...

I'd be hanging onto those rims..... I think they might well be worth a bit more than $2,000, if you were patient in looking for a buyer - its quite expensive to get hold of wire wheels, which was part of the reason I gave up looking.... I reckon they look pretty awesome on a Zed though, and I'd prob. leave them on there....

rims arn't my style, but diffenately worth some good cash for oldskool wires, like those...

nice car, for 2600 look like a good deal, needs some cleaning as all cars do, but lots of fun ahead of you i believe... congrats again

If someone offered me $2000 for thos rims, i'd sell them for $2500 ;) and buy some watanabes, or konig rewinds. :)

The spoked rims look at home on a MG, I dont think they suit japanese cars.

Car looks nice though. The guards have been flared out a bit.

Oh, and when you say Datsun 72 spoke rims, i hope your not under the impression that they were made by datsun, or that they came standard or as an option on the 260Z. I bet they are an after market mag.

Datsun never used spoke type mags on their cars that i'm aware of.

from what i can gather about my rims are they are actuly datto rims but they where only put on a handfull of the zd's like a limited eddition or sumthin anyway thanks for all the help and hope more people post :D

id say more likely they were dealer fitted' date=' rather than datsun factory....

but still cool eitherway[/quote']

Yeah either dealer fitted, aftermarkert, or owner fitted.

Like I said, Datsun never fitted wire wheels to any of their cars, as a factory option, or standard.

If you have a close look at the wheels you'll probably be able to find the brand name of the wheel, stamped into them somewhere.
