Alternative fuel filler neck/cap and throttle linkage

Hi again, just another quickie.

 

When my Z arrived it was obvioulsy missing a few things which are hard to find originals of.

 

What would you recommend I do to replace the fuel cap filler without being to cheap or gay?

All I have to go by is the three mounting holes of what was there originally. I'm not really worried about needing a key to open the cap as I'll be rigging up a cabin mounted flap release as I've done if a few past cars that didn't originally have it.

 

 

The throttle linkage was also missing but I stole a few bits off the 280's I had to get me closer.

 

 

 

I'm guessing your Zed's have some sort of mount on the firewall for this part of the linkage. If so could someone pop up a close up pic so I can see if I can make one or if anyone has one off a wrecked car??

 

I was going to look at installing a throttle cable instead but I'm not sure how it would adapt into the foot pedal and existing linkage.

Re the fuel filler neck, cap and flap...take a walk around your local wrecker with some measurements....youll be surprised what fits and from what cars

Yep... your right....but if he has 280zx parts he can use / adapt them to get mobile

Yeah xa1973 thats a 280zx part, I spose I could modify that one to look like the first pic.
