I had a vehicle inspector come out to my house yesterday to look at my other half's camry which we are selling. Older guy, probably 50's or 60's. He could tell I'm a Nissan fan from the old 240K out on the road and the 3 other Nissans in the driveway.

So he starts telling me about his 240Z he used to have years ago (1970's or 1980's) when he was younger.  I said yeah I got one in the back yard.

He tells me his had a G nose. I said, yeah I got one of them in the shed.  I think he was a bit taken back that I knew what a G nose was, and that I even had one  ;D

He was working on the mines back then and had the car put into  a panel beaters for a moneys no object restoration.  He'd bought the car from a Japanese friend with a G nose, which he kept on the car.  It had an L28 with triple webbers and was dark blue.

He ran into a bit of a cash flow problem and sold the car (so he could keep his house), but regretted it the instant the car reversed out of the drive with he new owners.

I showed him the rusty 240Z I have out the back of my house, and told him about the z club here in WA and the Aussie Z register.

He's keen to find out what ever happened to his old 240. It's a long shot, but has anyone got a dark blue 240Z with an L28 and triple webbers that had a G nose, and came from WA?  Lic Plates when he owned it were UNC 273.

I told him there's not much hope of finding it, unless he knew the chassis number.

I think he's got the z bug again....
