24Ozed Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Hi All, I have a 240z with an L28 injected engine in it from a 280zx. Using standard ecu, wiring, manifold etc... I hate the look of the intake manifold, and it appears that theres a heap of emmissions stuff on there that it could do without. So i have just purchased an intake manifold from the US.. ITs the N47 Manifold, which in comparison doesn't have the webbing and looks like it does away with most... if not all of the emmissions gear. My question is... Is there anything on the manifold emissions wise that i absolutely need on there for it to run.. And also once i have only the manifold, fuel rail, throttle body etc on do i need to make any changes to allow for having no emissions gear. Will everything just run as normal once all hooked up? Also... should i expect any better performance when its all removed. I'll post up a couple of pics tonight comparing the standard Aussie 280zx manifold and the N47 manifold that i've purchased. Sorry for long post. Look forward to your responses. Travis Quote
