MKI Golf day out at Eastern Creek

Howdy guys........just thought I'd post up some pics of the Driving Solutions EC track day last week with some vortex members. The day was very well organised with half hr of walking the track, briefing, lunch, coffee and drinks provided for $240. Have been dying for a track fix after the zed was sold.

I could only get a 2:01:56 on the day........have been told that the MKV R32's are pulling similar times for beginners.

 

Anyways - had heaps of fun ..................if I can get rid of this sarker I'm sure a zed will be back on the plate in the future : ).

I had a Mk2 golf as a first car all though uni, canary yellow. 

 

Great car, couldn't kill it just add 3L oil every 5,000km (rings shot), jumped out of second, didn't idle - just ride the throttle slightly. I even snaped the timing belt and thought I had finally killed it (German value saving technology), only cost me a tow and a belt .... finally grew some sence and sold it for a 240z and havent looked back.
