ZED660 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 I am selling a pair of brand new Tokico Illumina BZ3099 shocks still in the box. These are for a 85-89 Toyota MR2 and are the ones used by Z owners in the US when they are sectioning their struts for coilovers. The normal Z Illuminas (BZ3015 front and BZ3016 rear) are actually the same length with the rears using an extension piece on the bottom to give the length for the longer Z rear strut tube. When converting to coilovers the front struts are sectioned by about 2 inches and the MR2 struts fitted and the rear struts are sectioned by the length of the normal Z strut minus the extension piece. All that is need with the MR2 struts is for the strut top to have the hole drilled out to take the larger shaft which is round rather than the Z 'D' shaped shaft. Asking $350 which is less than what I paid including the freight from the US. Geoff 0404 194294 Quote
EvilZ Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Hey this may be a long shot but do you still have these struts? Quote
ZED660 Posted January 30, 2014 Author Posted January 30, 2014 Hi, No I sold them long ago, I gather they are unobtainable in the US now. Cheers. Quote
EvilZ Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Yup searching for a set now. Tokico may be coming back to the US mid year but who knows. I am guessing these isn't a source for them in AU? Thanks for the reply. Quote
