HADEEZ_2000 Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 Hello all, For the 0.5% of you that remember all the way back to 2016 I came on here without an introduction looking for my first car (a 2+2 or a 1600) and shortly came home with an A70 Supra having not found one that was to the satisfaction of my parents. Now, 3 years later and hopefully wiser, I have dusted off the old account and joined the club after coming to my senses that a Z is the car I want to be driving around in. However, some things do not change, as in the search for the perfect car for me, I have discovered that I am still as ambitious with my budget as I was 3 years ago, but now have a more realistic view of what I’d be receiving. This is by no means a wanted ad, as I’ve not sold the car yet, but I guess I’m just asking if my dreams of owning a Z are again going to be crushed by my financial reality. I am hoping to sell the Supra for around the mid to high teens (hopefully higher side if I can) and was wondering if it is a bit too ambitious for me to think about getting a 2 seater project in decent enough condition for that price, as I ultimately want to do a HomeBuiltByJeff styled restoration where I do as much as I can by myself, getting information from the forums and my family (we all have classic cars) I’ve had my eye on the 260 2 seater project in Queensland for a bit, but have come to find some slightly rustier 240z’s in NSW and replacement parts like doorskins etc. to replace said rust. Being only 19 I really don’t have the financial freedom that most people on this forum would have, so there may be frequent sitting for the car, but I am willing to push through any financial pains to make my dream a reality. Thanks and it's great to be back, Hayden 260DET 1 Quote
