aircobra Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 ok, had a look at the thread on this, which seems to have gone dormant i need to redo all brakes and fuel lines so this is what i'm looking at the tool http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/291522121768?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT $22 the cutter http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271881384861?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT $8 now, the benders are interesting i think this one for doing large diameter http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/331447065990?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT $16 and this one for the tigher http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/252037975475?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT whooping $50, now as i can tell, there are all sorts of bends and radiuses on the line - 90 degree, 120 etc, so I'm not actually sure on the best combos also a couple of questions for the experts 1.what's the 45 degrees vs 37 degrees about? 2. how many meters will i need for the whole car (3/16 and 3/8 for fuel) thank you Quote
scott Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 i just copied factory lines. Also buy a reamer. Just run the inside and outside with it As u can see Quote
scott Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I also bought a better flaring tool as i wanted to do everything. I have used the hand ones and vowed never to do it again but it all adds up fast. Brake lines use a 45' double flare. 37' refers to AN fittings like this AN only use a single flare as well. Unsure on how big your budget is but AN fittings add up fast. I just went this path and my account is still hurting. This is only half of what i bought You should also buy a flare spanner if u haven't got one either. As for length i am unsure what a zed would need but i used about 7 odd M's on my K Quote
aircobra Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 awesome tool - looks like $370 did the reamer come with it? can't find it anywhere Quote
scott Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Bought it from a trader off ebay from NZ. Also http://www.ppcco.com.au/eastwood82.html Quote
