260Z Grille Original Colour

Hi guys,

 

what was the original colour of a 260Z 2+2 grille? From what I can make out it seems to have been a dark charcoal colour. Was it a matt, satin or gloss? Looks to have been a matt or satin but not sure if this is original. Does any one have any close up pics of an original? Will help in my color choice.

I would describe it as a matt/satin gunmetal colour. AFAIK it's the same colour as the tailight surrounds. Below in the thread are some pics of new genuine grills:

just painted the grille supports tonight, had a choice of matt, satin or gloss black and went with satin black. Next week hopefully will paint the rest of it.
