DrPersian Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 What is a good transmission for a 1971 Datsun 250z with a rb26drtt engine. And what support mods do you recommend for the rb26 engine? Quote
dalee Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 A great gearbox is a TTI sequential, see Ledge's build thread. Just a question of money. Quote
Retro Z Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Just use the rb25 rwd gearbox. They are plenty strong. Another alternative if you already have a gtr rb26 4wd box is to cut out the front drive shafts and weld up the transfer case. As for supporting mods it depends on what your looking for. A stock rb26 with the usual bolt ons eg. Exhaust, intercooler, boost restrictor removed, ecu should get you 250rwkw easily. Quote
Magnet Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Z32/33 are the same as 25 but usually cheaper Precision 6262 work well, 20psi at 4k, more power than you'll ever be able to use in a 240 Quote
