Got some questions regarding the injection:

1. What is the max flow of the stock injectors on NA model? On L28ET?

2. Max fuel pump flow on NA model? On L28ET?

3. Has anyone fiddled with the stock computer or is an aftermarket ECU the only option?

4. What max power can the stock setup support?

Obviously use as a guide only.

 

Stock L28E ECU is analogue....there's no CPU as such and nothing to 'reprogram'. There's a (very) limited amount you can do cope with increased engine output, ie:

 

- increase fuel pressure

- variable resistor (pot) on water temp sensor

- play around with AFM spring tension

- change injectors

 

There are people that have mucked around with L-Jetronic systems, do a google search, I'm sure you'll find lot's of info (280ZX uses a licensed version of the Bosch developed L-Jet EFI system).

 

IMHO get a digital EFI system like Wolf or Hawk if your planning any major engine mods.
