My name is Jud and I am the owner of a very neat '79 280zx.
I have owned DATSUN's for as long as i could remember, mum gave me hers when it was no longer needed and i couldn't look over the steering wheel, a 180b sedan with twin su's (wish i had of kept it!) my dad showed me how to start it with a squirt of aerostart and i have never looked back.
i just sold my 120y for 2k to a kid that wanted to put 13b in the thing, I'm not a purist at any means but she started first time every time for the past 2 years and i miss it :'(
I'm getting around craigieburn Vic. in a neat 180b SSS coupe that belongs to my brother at the moment and i miss that familiar datto scent! L18 on unleaded.
the main reason I'm on this sight is to decide what to do, i wasn't sure the 2+2 280zx is for me, i got it thinking it was the next best thing to a 240 or 260z. i didn't know that you all are out to help each other so much and am looking forward to getting a bit of advice on what to do next.
less than a week after getting it, head gasket goes! spent all i had on it and left it to rust. i have managed to pay the rego for another year and have decided to get me arse into gear and get over it. its still one sweet looking ride and have a p90 plus copper gasket in the garage, do i go turbo? ebay and my budget will only tell.
my rego is xiv280 so once I'm on the road again give me a toot
