Probably been asked before = I have a 280zx 1980 ECU - number is 22611 P8800 A11-000-450 (my 1982 is 22611 P8800 A11-000-451) is this the correct ECU for that model?? I can not find that number anywhere but being one off the 1982 S2 you would think that it would be correct???  I note that this ecu does not use all pins wheres the 1982 has the full 35 pin setup???

I am not sure how much luck you will have matching an ECU to a year. But if you do, great. All I know is the ECUs and the looms are NOT interchangable. You must have the correct ECU for your loom. You can tell by the pins. If the ECU has a pin in a particular position and the plug from the loom doesn't, it will not work. But if you swap one ECU and loom for another ECU and loom it will work fine.

I hope this helps.

Wasn't there different sensor connections on the 280zx depending on the year. I.E. One year had a CAS on the crank pulley, others had it in the distributor etc.

Can the computers be changed to an engine running a different sensor type?
