Willz Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Does anyone know how much it cost to convert a 260z auto to a manual? and is it easy... I'm looking to buy a 260z and all the good examples seem to be auto! Quote
Zeddophile Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 easy conversion, cost is a gearbox, pedals, clutch, flywheel, spigot bush, and your time to install. I have manual pedals if required, no gearbox though. Quote
Willz Posted August 14, 2006 Author Posted August 14, 2006 Thanks mate, Also, are the front kits i see on so may z'ds easy to get ahold of? Quote
VertexZ Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 second hand gear box - $300 (reco around $700) new clutch - $170 second hand pedals - $100 second hand master and slave cly - $60 second hand flywheel - $30 so perhaps $700 in parts. you may have to pay a bit more than that if you go to a zed wreckers, try and sounce out someone privately wrecking and you could do a bit better, although the manual converseion bits are pretty quick to go. the manual pedals were one of the first things I sold off mine. for the record, i think about 70% of the 260Z's sold in Oz were auto Quote
