psyosphere Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Thanks for the people that helped with my last problem with my L28 engine not have any spark. i have it all up and running now but im having a fuel problem, it starts and idles well till i give it a nice long rev, then when i try a rev it again its like the fuel is starving and the carbie can't refill quick enough (im using a weber 28/36dcd carbie). could the problem be the standard electric fuel pump has'nt got a high enough flow rate or the fuel pump is about to die?? or could i installing a second standard electic fuel pump to pick up the folw rate more?? also could it be that i have added 2 extra fuel filters on the fuel in line and the return line?? this never ends.... psyosphere Posted July 14, 2008 Author Posted July 14, 2008 Hi does anyone know what the PSI and flow rate is for the standard Nissan electirc fuel pump?? Quote
pauly_adams Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Ive had similar problems and i also thought it was fuel related worked out it wasn't, if you can open up your dizzy and take out the plate that the points sit on and give it a good clean don't disassemble the plates though as i done this and lets just say i needed a new plate. my plate had rust and dirt all over it and when i cleaned it it worked a treat give this a try it only take a couple of minutes but you will need to reset your points gap. good luck cheers Pauly Quote
