Anyone interested in webers, this is great explanation series on how they work and how to rebuild them.
 

I've used Randy and Andy on my zed, they know Datsuns propper good, and are nice guys in the mix too.

Nearly hit a roo on the way out of sugarloaf - locked up the front wheels the noise scared the poor bastard so much he fell over in fright in the middle of the road.
 
 

Yes Warren is fine if you buy via eBay (so far no issues for me) but I think Peter's post above helps give some context as to why he can be hard to get proper commitment from. I've heard many complain about the same.
 
The real problem as I see it is that a lot of blokes who have been in this game (S30Z repairs and parts supply) have often been doing it for 30+ years and they have been ground down by low ballers and cheap skate Datsun owners over many years. This means their businesses have often lost money over many years.
 
Things are changing as these cars increase in value again and people are willing to spend the money, but given how few cars remain here now it's difficult to feed the family on profits from Z-supplies.
 
For example just to package up a bunch of gear knob buttons - receive payment, go to post office etc.. really if this was a full time gig for me (supplying S30Z stuff) I'd need to charge a lot more than $10 a button. And those buttons are often more profitable to sell than larger items etc..!
 
I feel there has to be a market here for a local supplier of S30Z parts, but you have to use a lot of capital up front to purchase parts, have somewhere to store them and then worry about currency fluctuations destroying your profit margin on an item. Often folks think they can beat your price, but don't factor in cost of shipping etc..
 
So bottom line is, folks like Warren is all we have and if you're in a rush perhaps look elsewhere, but I can almost sympathise with why he is the way he is.
 
The only reason someone would get into supplying S30Z parts is because they are passionate about these cars, not money!

These documents are and have been readily available from the CAMS website for many years, as are the FIA homologation papers able to be ordered from CAMS.
 
From reading these documents and the CAMS manual of motorsport, that lays out the rules for general competition plus the general requirements for automobiles in various schedules, plus the actual rules for each category, 1, 2, 3, 4 and the 5th category for historic cars it's pretty easy to get all this information, that has been bought up and quoted over the years in various threads on this forum.
 
After reading the last few pages, and other threads, are you generally interested in historic racing and trying to help get some more freedoms for S30 cars as per some of the competitiors, or are you just trolling to continue whatever yelling at clouds vendettas you have against certain people on here?

Interesting. I am glad I posted that, because I would have just installed the LEDs, and then probably cracked it because I couldnt dim them. This actually reminds me when the old man first put in LED downlights globes at his house, and we couldnt dim them at the time, but with technology changes, we got new lights & transformers, and were able to dim them again. 
Yeah on advice, I figure I would change all of the globes. I assume they are all on the same circuit.
 
I will try too test it out this week, but will let you know either way. 

I have the old school front disk upgrade of hilux callipers and 300zx vented disks. Rear drums. I had the drums and new pads machined to match. Totally adequate for Street IMO.
