  1. Officially sold today, get picked up by a truck 6pm tonight and freighted to Queensland. I got $11,750 as it stands, no RWC or REG, so by the time i cash in the REG it will be 12K as it stands. The guy plans on restoring it back to stock. VIP are very comprehensive as far as going over the car, all party's are happy.


    Thanks to all that have helped me here in particular Dimitri. I hope the track days do go ahead as i would like to see some of you on the track.

  2. OK i getting lost with the PM's. First off Josephf some else got in 15 minutes before you on the SU's, I will sort it out when i get home, im in macca's using there internet.


    The head light covers are what you get, no screws etc just covers alone. Was hoping for $100.... dont abuse me if thats overpriced i have no idea.


    The Motor, Yes castle main sump is included on 1 motor. Im offering the motor at different stages of sale, with or without turbo, there is a second motor but its bone stock with a split head gasket. Thats free.


    Im flexible on the motor, if you want to work out a payment plan within reasonable time thats cool. It's a hard time to sell stuff right now thats for sure.

  3. I was going to, but my mate that just finished his build and is keen to hang onto it now which is fair enough, the 2+2 has dint free rails and no rust any where in the body. So i think he wants to hang onto that just incase he cops a whack in his new pride and joy 260 2 seater.


    I rang Mal about his 2 seater but its first in best dressed there so i might ring back friday night to see what the go is....probably sold lol


    I had VIP classic car service go over my car last week. They are very good, he rated mine a 7/10 with a lot of minor things to fix.

    RB30et or naturally asp. Motor was built for a 260z race car, can come in 2 forms.


    Naturally aspirated: Freshly built head, new clutch, new complete loom for datsun Z by castlemain, new engine and gear box mounts, NA gear box, extractors, NA ecu, Surge tank, and a shortened (20mm) balanced tail shaft for a 2+2, this should yield around 105-110rwkw's. I was going to take a peak at the CAM profile as this motor was built for a 260 racecar so i wouldnt be surprised as the head was rebuilt.



    Turbo form: Same motor, VL stock turbo, VL ecu, VL Injectors, 3" dump pipe  3" IC pipping but no intercooler, 2X45o silicon bends plus plenty on normal silicon joiners + all the above etras. This setup was making 175rwkw's on 10PSI. I planned on running 9 pound but if you drop in a turbo cam you would see more HP. I drove to sydney and tested this turbo out and drove home again, (mad i know) I did this because im quite obbsessive with this stuff.

    Both come without the forward facing pleniu, if you want the fancey plenium add $300. The stock plenium is in really good nick.

    Light covers, needs new rubbers and someone over tightened a screw so one has a very minor split near the hole.

    2" SU's Execellent condition, i have some e88 intake manifolds to mount them on but a 1977 pollution balance bar.

  5. Mise well put this up before someone else does, my car is back on the market, Im trying to stay in accordance of the current market so take a seat if your not used to paying good $$ for a rust free restored 2+2.




    but it doesnt mean im done with Zeds, i have another clean Z roller which i can drop the RB into and build a bit of a monster if i choose to.


    My car sold today, it will be heading to Queensland to its new owner. A sad day for me but i had no options. I will be advertising a complete RB turbo setup during the week.

  6. All good mate, was through carsales. Just thought I'd share as i think scammers are the scum of the earth.


    Key things to look for are:

    1, they cant be contacted by phone or in person

    2, they only use paypal

    3, there always overseas


    What they do is buy the car, put in more than the agreed price, and then make out it was a mistake and ask for the $1000 or so back. In your paypal account it actually looks as though the money is clearing but what they do is cancel the funds straight away.


    BTW his grammar is really bad for a marine biologist ;D

I insisted on paypal because i don't have access to my bank account online as i don't have internet banking, but i can pay from my paypal account, as i have my bank a/c attached to it, i will need you to give me your paypal email address and the price so i can make the payments asap for the car and pls if you don't have paypal account yet, it is very easy to set up, go to www.paypal.com.au Web site registration will take only 5 minutes just get back to me as soon as you get back to me registered and get it set up, after you have set it up i will only need the e-mail address you use for registration with paypal so as to put the money through. I have a pick up agent that will come and pick the car up after i have made the payments...




  8. I just did a week away in a VE, and to be honest i cant tell the difference when driving a Holden or ford, there both as boring as each other and neither have personalties.


    Now the turbo XR6 and V8 HSV are much more fun ;D

  9. Out of interest, how far would 3K get you with a tired L28? Using SU's... How much HP would you see at the wheels? I know its an age old question but i wouldn't expect much for 3K starting from scratch with a L-series.


    BTW 170HP was when they rolled off the line, in my case, 32 years ago, These are good motors but i doubt it's still producing 170HP at the fly. 


    I still think the RB30t is the cheapest way to get decent HP but as Dimitri said, you dont get that wonderful note.
