  1. have not had a chance to get back on here for awhile but first of all thankyou all for the help you have given me. Lynton I was very interested to hear the green one in Canberra was forsale in tassie. Chris240 thanks for your offer to look at the car for me but as i live in Canberra I have been out and looked at the car and have also driven it it certainly is a good looking beast he said it was resprayed about 9 odd years ago WE are at the $ amount for the car now so will keep you all informed I am sure i will own it by the end of the week. Is the a Canberra Z club I can join my first to do would be to meet other Z owners and learn more about them. One of my concerns with the car is the gear leaver is sloppy and does not have a nice feel to it, are these boxes same as the 1600 as they got a bit sloppy with use there does not appear to be any noises in it though.Once again thankyou to everyone hear for your help and I am sorry for being slow in replying.Cheers Peter

Hi Gonzo 240 thanks for the reply I have seen 2 cars on carsales.com one is the green car in canberra and the other is the blue one in Narellan and did like them both I also lean towards the Canberra car as well because it is a manual I wouldn't want the mags on it though as I want it to be totally original I had intended contacting him tomorrow and have a look at it. The price of these have sure gone up huh. once again your input is appreciated very much cheers. Peter
  3. Well hello everyone. I have just joined this club mainly because I am wanting to purchase a 260Z 2+2 and I hope I can get some help,tips and advice here and perhaps a couple of leads on any for sale. First of all and this may sound silly but what is considered a reasonable price to pay for a Z in good condition? I have seen them advertised anywhere from 3 grand to 20 grand? and they all seem to be in the same all around condition. I would prefer a manual but if I was to buy an auto and convert it is the diff a different ratio in a manual verses auto? and if so is it enough to cause me to have to change it as well?. They seem to Have a bit of rust history any tips on where to look for it. Are parts easy to obtain for these cars?. Sorry for all the questions on my first thread I am very genuine and would appreciate any help you guys my be able to give me. Cheers Peter
