Epic thread resurrection.....
If anyone cares I ultimately resolved this by purchasing a set of modified Type S carbs from Wolf Creek and the problem went away completely. Fast forward 8 years and I have just bolted the original type R's to my road car and colour me surprised the same surging issue is back on tight left handers, even on the road.
The intervening years haven't made me any smarter or wiser so I'm still searching for a suitable fix and am hoping that in the meantime someone else has stumbled across this too.
Anyone?

Event photos here https://www.ndn21.com/event-p and links coming soon for the professional sites.
Was a great weekend but if you missed it you only have to wait two years and head to QLD for the next one! -
Last chance to get your entry in for the MADDAT Motorsport super sprint before entries close tomorrow Friday 12th.
Zed not ready? Don’t worry we’ll also accept non Nissan cars from members.
Tickets for the Friday Quiz night and Saturday Legends dinner close next week on the 19th.
Every entrant paid up by the 19th gets a free event tee shirt, but we will also take entries for the shown and shine and cruise events up to the day (but no free shirt☹️).
It’s going to be great, get on it. Ndn21.com/entries

Anyone got a local source/supplier for the L28ET turbo oil pump?

Quote: The factory fuel rail has the return built into it.
yes this. The factory hard line has a restrictor in the return line. If you don’t use a bypass reg you need to put it before the carbs in the circuit as you have in your diagram

Thanks for the reply - yeah I’m wondering if there’s a regulator like that - but operates at that low psi AND also has a return. Perhaps it’s not a thing??
I used to run this reg with the factory fuel rail, reg in line before the carbs, one feed into carb one and the other feed into carb three with all three carbs linked together and the factory Return line back to the tank.
seemed to work fine but you might be able to fine a proper bypass reg at that low a pressure but I haven’t seen one.

Something like this?
I run one of these on my triples but with no return line. Carter electric pump.
HOLLEY RED FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR. 1 TO 4 PSI. GENUINE FITS HOLLEY - HO12-804 | eBay

That’s a really nice solution.

Sorry mate someone else just bet you to it but I’ll let you know if it falls through or if any issues. Cheers
No probs, it’s the early console I was most interested in.

I’ll take them if you’re happy to post to Adelaide.

Interested too, sounds like a great idea.

At this stage we will be running the West circuit - this circuit uses the main straight with a shortcut on the International circuit for a 3.4 km lap.

For the first time ever the Nationals are heading to South Australia and the event promises to be a big one. Over four packed days there will be the usual cruises and show events topped off with a track day at The Bend Motorsport Park from April 1st to 4th.

Although looks like evidence it might be a cut n' shut. (floor pan is 901 Silver looking) but rest of car is 905 Monte Carlo red.
Agree, there isn't enough rust in the front half to match the rear..... Chassis number on the firewall doesn't appear to be right either.

Pain in the butt for fitting on RHD cars. But you'll get good money for it selling to North American's.. sold mine for $350 USD from memory.
What makes it better suited to LHD?
