There is also this company http://www.ezpowersteering.nl/158/Home.html these kits are supplied and fitted by Stewart Wilkins Motorsport in Sydney. The steering is quite light for slow driving, parking, etc nd then loads up as speed increases.

We thought it would never happen but Vince (NEW240) is downsizing the fleet and the time has come for him to offer for sale the beautiful 260Z, race number 551 that has been campaigned by his wife Kay in sprints and rallies since their purchase of the car from Gavin Strongman in 2006. This was a bare metal, ground up restoration by Gavin which he transformed into a Tarmac Rally car and campaigned successfully in both rallies and track events prior to sale.
It gets worse!! Vince is also selling his Lime green modified 240Z that has been driven by himself and more recently his daughter Bekky. (Details below)
260Z
Since being built this car has featured in many Magazine articles and has variously been described as the best Datsun 260Z in Australia. It has been extensively modified by both Gavin and more recently Vince to enhance its handling and performance and has the following modifications;
· 3.1 Litre ‘Stroker’ motor by Stewart Wilkins Motorsport (SWM) with hand built headers and stainless steel 2 ½” mandrel bent exhaust system.
· Triple 45mm Weber carburettors with Custom Airbox.
· Trik hand built 6 point bolt in Roll Cage.
· Cobra race seats
· Fully adjustable suspension incorporating adjustable front and rear lower control arms and height adjustable suspension struts with Bilstein PSS9 dampers.
· Nissan Skyline R32 GTST gearbox
· Nissan R200 differential with KAAZ LSD 4.375 ratio.
· Willwood front brakes with Nissan R32 calipers, Rear disc brake conversion with hydraulic hand brake.
· Konig 16 x 7” wheels with Yokohama AO50 tyres.
· SWM electric power steering conversion.
Since being acquired by Vince and Kay in 2006 this car has been maintained and improved regardless of cost with all work undertaken by Stewart Wilkins. Following an engine refresh in 2010 the electric power steering was fitted together with SWM custom sway bar links and rear diff mount.
The car has competed at numerous race tracks around Australia, including Mt Panorama, Wakefield Park, Sydney Motorsport Park, Oran Park, Phillip Island and Morgan Park and run faultlessly whilst being very competitive. It is an ideal car for Tarmac Rallies, Regularity or Super sprints.

Very sad news, I met Alex through Z's as he was restoring his 2+2 and used to bump into him at Historic meetings when he was driving his Formula Vee. I last saw him at Phillip Island in 2018 and he was quite chuffed as he had met up with the chap who originally raced his car.
A very nice young man, condolences to his family.

Gareth,
I spoke with Josh at the time and told him what use the car would get and he supplied the springs to suit the valving he had set. I have always run stiffer front springs and was/am happy with the 6kg (335lb) fronts. As I said in a previous post I changed the rears from 4 to 5kg (280) as I feel the car is better with only about 50 lbs difference front to rear.
I am sure MCA would advise you on the rate they felt would suit your valving but in the end would probably fit what you wanted.

The assembly came out of a 71 model but it was a while ago and my 'old timers' brain can't recall what type of gearbox was in there. Mine looks like a reverse of yours Roger with the spline bit at the gearbox end.

FOR SALE - R180 3.9 open K series diff with bolt in half shafts, moustache bar and tailshaft. This stuff has been sitting in my garage for quite a few years now and it is time to make some space. The assembly is as I pulled it out of a 240 I bought back in 2000 (for $2500!!). The moustache bar has had the original rubber bushes removed and I haven't seen a tailshaft like this one (it was a track car). Looking for $750 or thereabouts.
* Located south of Sydney near Jannali

Yes, I have a Willwood 1" master cylinder with standard 260Z booster. I previously ran the standard master cylinder with the Toyota Hilux brakes and had no problems and good pedal, however when I fitted the SW kit I figured I would change the master cylinder at the same time. You might want to fit the brakes first and see what you think of the pedal. My Willwood came from Rocket Industries at Huntingwood. If you do change to one you have to make a small adjustment to the push rod length in the booster. The attached link gives instructions on what is required.

I checked the DBA site the rotors are 296mm, with decent pads (Hawk) I find the brakes more than enough for the track. But then I don't have a V8 auto!

Bump
I know I would probably get some interest if I advertised these for free, but that can't happen, so the next best thing I can do is a drop to $875! I will even throw in the boxes they came in:)
