  1. Hey Gang, With the sale of my Z a few months ago, I thought I had packaged all my spare parts with the car. But, I missed one. I have asked the new owners of the car if they want i, but they do not. So, I am offering here to you guys. It is an N36 Exhaust Header. Free to good home, pick-up only (from Rowville, Victoria). If interested, give me a call on zer0-f0ur-thr33-31ght f1v3-thr33-tw0 n1n3-thr33-f1v3, or send me a pm. Cheers, Matt
  2. Yeap, and it looks like a pretty good museum. As I understand, it is not open to the public yet though. I wanted the car to stay in Australia. I had a few people make an offer, but I am really happy that it is going to a museum. I know that in some peoples minds it won't be appreciated "properly", but the way I see it, a lot more people will be able to appreciate it now. And plus, I'll can visit it whenever I head up North
  3. Funds transfer complete. The car is Sold. To those that are interested, the car is going to Gosford Classic Car Museum. Cheers, Matt
  4. I had a lot of fun with it. It was a great build, but, time to move on to something else. Once funds clear, I'll let you know where it is headed.
  5. Under contract, awaiting funds transfer.
  6. Argh! Maybe I'm a hopeless salesperson! Both of the cars that have sold with in a VERY short time have been '71s though. I'll take some comfort in that....
  7. Interesting Point. But, if there is such high demand and desire to own a car, and very little supply, personally, I wouldn't worry about the final distance I would have to travel to view the car. I know how hard it was for me to purchase my car. Thankfully, the main reason that I was able to purchase it was that others weren't willing to travel the distance. Anyways, back to sitting patiently by the phone for the right person to call me up....
  8. A common request that I have had from interstate calls that I have had for my car is to ask for the price to be dropped due to being interstate and the costs that they will incur to travel to inspect the vehicle and then have the vehicle shipped. Other thing that I have noticed is the difference in what buyers expect to pay for a vehicle based on state. There is a slight discrepancy and maybe I am giving it more merit than its statistical significance would actually warrant. Or maybe I just haven't had the right person see my ad.
  9. I have a feeling that there is a difference between the Sydney Market and the Melbourne Market....
  10. Model: 1973 240Z Required Location: Rowville, Victoria Required Price and Payment Conditions: $35,000 ($500 Deposit, Bank Cheque on pick-up) Item Condition: Excellent Body: Bare metal respray in 2007, garaged since. Mechanical: Running Registration: Out of Reg, Selling as is (no RWC). Engineers Certificate:Not Applicable Contact Details: For initial contact, please send a PM. Extra Info: I bought the car in September 2004 and soon after commenced a bare metal restoration. My aim with the car was to try and keep it as stock as possible. The main things that are not stock are the retractable seatbelts, relay controlled headlights, radio and extractors. All of the restoration work was done by myself and father, other than the exhaust system, seats and final top coats. Where I could, I tried to keep the original parts, but where they were beyond repair I tried to source original Nissan parts, and where I couldn't find those, I used reproductions. There is a shopping list of all of the items that I have bought for the restoration on my blog. Once restored, I have driven it a few times, but it has mainly spent its time garaged. The reason for me selling it is that with a young family, I don't have the time to spend driving it. I'd rather that it go to someone that will appreciate it more and have a good time driving it. I am now at a point that I feel I have finished the restoration and am ready to let it go. There are more pictures on the blog, along with many more details about the restoration that I have done to it. There is a of the car, taken at the 2013 AusZcar Christmas event on YouTube if you would like to hear what it sounds like. For any other details, just send me a PM. Edit: I forgot to mention that it has matching numbers and I have the original number plates for it.
  11. Yep, a real loss to Brighton Nissan when Trevor left. I think a few people on here used to get parts from Ferntree Gully Nissan too. I've never tried.
  12. Would a copy of How to Rebuild Your Nissan & Datsun OHC Engine help? If so, I have a copy.
  13. Excellent. That was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you
  14. I know this is a very old thread, but I can recall a video being taken this day of the sounds of the different engines that were on display. Did that video ever get posted? If so, can someone provide a link please? Cheers, Matt
  15. Here's a photo of the original shift boot with the clips on it. Also the spare clips that I have. [/img]
