Hey Guys, n perhaps some gals ???

Im looking for info on the tailshaft length of the L28 auto tailshaft in the Z eds

From uni centre to uni centre

Is the auto front yoke the same on other models ???

Is the auto front yoke ,interchangeable with a manual front yoke ???

(IE same size unis)

IF it is , maybe a manual tailshaft length from uni centre to uni centre

Thanks lads

Hmm not sure what I have but I took a look anyway. I have two. both look the same except the length. one is 1070mm from the mounting face to the tip of the yoke. The other is 970mm.

The yokes were identical with 65mm exposed and 55mm covered by the sheath thingy. although I did notice the shorter one had a couple of slots in the teeth and the longer one didn't.

I have wrecked a few 280zxs and 260z 2+2 both autos and manuals so I'm not sure which these were from.

Thanks for the look, greg

Ive gotta set the l28/auto up in the chassis, for the liitle toy im doin

So the front yoke has to fit the auto box,and whatever length tailshaft is good enuf to do the job ill try and track down

The rear of the shaft has to be modded to fit a hilux diff centre

If you are swinging by this area again I am happy for you to grab one of these to see if it satisfies or partially satisfies your requirement. You can't have both though as I want to keep one as a spare.

Interesting that you are going from a Nissan box to a Toyota diff while I need a shaft to go from a Toyota box to a nissan diff.

Ill surely catch up , when im down that way next

Just seeing IF i want to move the front end forward 300 MM or not

Difference being a 90 " wheelbase or a 102" wheelbase

Either way the larger of the two shafts should ,well maybe, do the job

Ill hopefully have all this sorted by the time im down that way
