Administrators gav240z Posted August 19, 2008 Administrators Share Posted August 19, 2008 Well its finally up and running http://www.vintagejdm.com/ is a worldwide website for all Japanese cars. There is still lots of tidying up to do and things to fix, but given I'm the only developer and I have very limited time I figured I'd launch it now and see where it takes us. Feedback comments and anything else is more than welcome. Cheers, Gavin.
Administrators gav240z Posted August 19, 2008 Author Administrators Share Posted August 19, 2008 Oh and its untested in Internet Explorer 6 especially the drop down menu's. So if you are running Windows XP with Internet Explorer I'd love feedback on the design and any problems with it.

mick74
Gavin I'm using IE V6, tried to open the car tabs, doesn't open "Page not found". I hope this helps. Mick
NZeder
I am using Firefox and IE 7 and on the front page with FF under the new Mazda RX3 blog is not picture. But when in IE I get just a box with little red x in the top corner on the same page = I think there is a picture there that is not getting displayed. But all drops down etc are working in both with the quick tests I have just done - this is without signing up/creating an account which I have now done so will test this later too. I need to remove those test posts from local machine development . Gavin I'm using IE V6, tried to open the car tabs, doesn't open "Page not found". I hope this helps. Mick There are some broken links as I haven't put all the pages together yet. IE6 does have some issues too I just checked it at work. Unfortunately I cannot install IE6 on a Vista machine. using xp and firefox seems ok. xp and ie seems ok too. When are you going to expand the Mazda section? my Rx4 needs a post LOL...... The Mazda section will be expanded soon, the menu's are not complete but you can still post under mazda and tag your post with RX4. Singed-up I'm using (cough) Vista, Gav & I can't see the front page picture... Yeah front page image wasn't a browser issue, it was a path issue from when I moved the site from localhost to production . I need to make some changes before you can upload photo's to the site though... Its all a basic beginning but after a bit of a clean up and fixing some display issue in IE6 I think we should be off to a good start. Thanks for the feedback so far.. Administrators gav240z Posted August 27, 2008 Author Administrators Share Posted August 27, 2008 I've made some fixes for Internet Explorer 6, the drop down menu's in IE6 should now work - although they seem a little buggy from my test version of IE6 (using a virtual machine here). The icons still have a halo around them because IE6 doesn't support alpha transparency properly, but that's a quick fix. Anyone else having major issues with the way the site is displayed?
