I don't know anything about that option, but it's similar to the Pertronix 1761 (there is a version II too)

If you put "site:www.viczcar.com pertronix" into your favourite search engine, you will see plenty of posts on here about it.

One of the posts (from Gavin) recommends this article for background information - https://www.hagerty.com/media/maintenance-and-tech/ignition-debate-points-vs-pertronix/?utm_source=SFMC&utm_medium=email&utm_content=19_January_30_HagertyNews

I know a guy who has one of these in his 260Z apparently is is fantastic https://www.123ignitionshop.com/gb/tune-plus-datsun/199-123tuneplus6rvdatsun-bluetooth.html still looks like a 240Z Distributor but it is $

I get mixed reviews on these. Some work. Some don't.
FWIW I sent Scorcher to a mate in Cali because he couldn't get his 123 to work properly and the 123 dealer couldn't help either...

I was looking to get the 123 Ignition set up also but after reading reviews about some mediocre parts on 1 of the Z forums and from Lachlan's feedback I decided to hold off.

I think the cheapest option (if you're original points distributor is still in good working order) is to go Pertronix ignitor option. I'm considering it for my white 71 which is very original and I kind of want to keep the points distributor on it.

I use a FAST (CRANE) and is easy to install. Had one module fail in ten years so I just have a spare in the glove box in case. Not that expensive and good enough for a road car. I have a friend who has a 123 and he has had no problems.

I used the Crane XR700 for years but fried it when I stuffed up some other wiring. Great unit.

I now have the Hot Spark ignition module (as in the first post) with the Beru Blue coil. No resistor is required for this setup ( Full 12V). A coil with more than 3.0 ohms of primary resistance is also required. You have to be careful with voltage polarity with the Hot Spark unit or you can fry it as well.

I am currently using the above with the FiTech 30003 4 barrel EFI on a Arizona Z dual plane manifold. The standard 260z Tacho works with this setup.

The crane XR700 requires the existing resistor in line.

The Crane XR3000 deletes the resistor.

I have never used a Pertronix unit but would go back to Crane (Now Fast) unit if using an original distributor.

I do keep a spare original distributor with points in storage behind the seat just in case.

Regards

David.
