A bargain RB26DETT came up, so I bought it, and now I will be selling my Current setup as a near-complete Package.

So, I am am looking for Expressions of Interest. Essentially, you will get a 90% complete drop-in package. All you will need will be and engine management system, Exhaust from dump-pipe backwards, Radiator and intercooler. I am also open to discussing adding these items in with the sale (even though i need them)

I have never chased a lot or power...its a cruiser for me - this engine is producing an easy, reliable 270HP ATW....but we all know what they are capable of.

So, if you are contemplating a conversion, then think about this....everything is done....you wont be having to work out how to get the speedo working accurately, how to get the Temp gauge working accurately etc....Its all done for you !

Im happy to answer any questions, or take people for drives - Engine is still in the car and its a joy to drive - I have around a 6 to 8 month conversion plan, but thats open depending on how the RB25 Sale goes.....everything is up for discussion !

A quick costing on every comes in at around about $11k (what I paid 7 years ago)....those prices would undoubtedly be more now.

I'm looking  for $8k. When you break it down thats actually pretty good !

I Look forward to Hearing from you !

Hey mate, if you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for the RB26? Is it turn key or needing a rebuild?

I paid 7k for a fully rebuilt RB26, packed full of forged goodies. Never stared since rebuild. It didn't have turbos though....so i sourced them separately

wreckers etc are wanting 4-5k for used & thrashed  26's, and having had the 26 in my R33 GTR rebuilt some years ago with forged parts, I know what it CAN cost, so this was a bargain.

Agreed. That IS a bargain for a built motor.
I’ve got a dead one sitting my garage. Got stock turbos in excellent condition sleeping next to it but seeing as you’re sorted there, no worries!
Keen to see the instal man!! Good luck.

I'm curious why go Rb26 if not chasing big power?

You could always just put 26 covers on it and most people wouldn't know. Ha.

haha Gav...

yeah mate...I hear Ya !

reasons are as follow..

(1) I will know ! lol

(2) it will then be a true 260Z again (2.6 litre)

(3) It will be a Modern Z432 (4 valve per Cyl, 3 Throttle bodies, 2 Camshafts ...or turbos) LOL

(4) They sound better

(5) They Look Better

(6) Just Coz !  haha

All reasons I can relate to. I am just glad I'm not the only OCD person around here and there is a few of us.

Rb26 with equal length headers sound awesome.
