PeterAllen 315
MONARO TORANA reminds me of this car I came across at Wakefield Park a few weekends ago. I'm not really too sure what I make of it... Not my photos. gav240z and gilltech 1
gilltech 300
Curious. I have to say it looks like a 240Z (or 260Z 2+2?) roof & hatch grafted on to a Torana going by the small curved side window; all the Torana hatchbacks I've seen had quite large side windows extending right to the rear. Is it a custom or some Torana prototype, anyone know? Edited March 18, 2020 by gilltech

ScottyD 111
Looks like an S30 with LJ Torana front end and LC Torana taillights
Administrators gav240z 2,477 Posted March 19, 2020 Author Administrators Share Posted March 19, 2020 73 240z. Clearly a skilled craftsman has done it. Question is, should it have been done? In my humble opinion no. But I see it as the boomer equivalent of the Gen Y strawberry front S13s or R34 GTR stagea conversions. But perhaps slightly more perverse? gilltech 300
Aha so it's a S30 with Torana panels not the other way around. Well I have to say I like it! IMO the Torana taillights look way better than those Euro-style round taillight conversion kits that were on the US market years ago.
Administrators gav240z 2,477 Posted March 19, 2020 Author Administrators Share Posted March 19, 2020 It's done well, I just don't think it should be done.
