The interior is in perfect original condition and the dash has no cracks. It is mechanically A1 with the original L24 engine and extractors. This car drives very well with the gearbox, clutch, brakes and diff all in good condition. Currently on club rego thats no transferable. The price is negotiable but no stupid offers.Located in South Wentworthville NSW 2145.

HS30 11243 - It has been for sale for a while. A good look at the underside reveals some less than good rust repair work if memory serves correct.

It looks like an ok car if you're planning to rework some of it.

Edit more photos here.

It looks honest, as in original and not screwed about with. But sitting in a shed 21 years, brakes will likely need attention as will cooling system, rubbers etc.. need a good going over in other words.

Body work appears sound in photos. Have to see it in person really. If a solid car in my opinion $20k is reasonable. But others balk at 2+2s priced that high. However history will prove me right I'm sure and I like the 2+2s. Especially on the open road.

yeah mine was same...stored 13 years, known history, all matching, runs, just doing brakes now....little rust in lower sills, great rust free floors, doors etc I would drop dead if I got $20k for mine LOL.....its same colour and all

Are 2+2's worth that much now ?

I don't think quite yet, you'd want to have the front bumper back on it and the lower valance (unbent)... for a start but otherwise looks good condition wise.

Curtis has #211 listed on Gumtree

1970 240z #211
$24,000
Byron Bay, NSW

"Selling on behalf of a friend is this rare early series 1 matching numbers 240z.
This 240z originally left the factory in green and still retains its matching numbers engine, early style hatch, early steering wheel and most of the other early bits which make it differ from most 240z's.
The car is 95% complete, the engine runs and this car is an ideal candidate for a restoration for a show car or nice drive car.
Over all there is minimal rust for a 240z, there has been some average repairs done in the past but overall the car is pretty solid and doesn't appear to have been involved in any major accidents.
Genuine enquires are welcome and these cars are becoming harder to find.

Please note the hubcaps pictured do not come with the car"

It's ok, I'm not serious. Or am I? ????

It looks like a good car though and very original. It should be an interesting 1 to watch.

The shipping details are interesting. I wonder if that was the last shipment of 240Z's to Australia?

It's row 381 of 410 in my spreadsheet of HS30's. So not quite the last, but definitely the tail end.

I shared the sheet with Kats on classiczcars.com recently and he found the data very useful, said he would help supply home market HS30 information. So that would probably fill quite a lot of gaps in the existing sheet and bring us closer to understanding how many were sent here.

I was going by the 'date received' of 5/9/73.

Apart from Riceburner's car (HS30-103771  11/1973), all the latest 240Z's I have seen (including Shaun240's car HS30-103781)  have a 9/73 compliance date.

So I still think it's possible that it was the last ship.

Not Z cars but interesting. Had these cars pointed out to me today. Two Skylines on carsales

The 83 GTX seems to have been for sale for some time and may be a nice alternative for someone looking for a 240? At $16000 (if its in ok condition looks a good price?
