Yeah….I mean it’s a shit box, needs a resto, but it’s a complete running car. panel gaps are terrible, chassis rails and floors need doing but it’s probably still better than mine. i kind of need a shell that’s been blasted and epoxied so I can see how the rust is, too dangerous to buy a painted car, too many potential nasty surprises Edited June 30, 2022 by 240ZBUILTBYME
Administrators gav240z Posted June 30, 2022 Author Administrators Share Posted June 30, 2022 You really need to see these cars in person to evaluate the body on them. Someone is always selling a sandblasted shell in epoxy after discovering the car was more far gone than anticipated. IMHO it's better the devil you know. Once you've started, if you keep looking for a better starting point. You end up finding a car without your current cars issues, just another set of issues your current car doesn't have. Given they are 50 years of age now, it's a given they need everything. 240ZBUILTBYME and gilltech

J.B.
Potentiall Selling my 260Z Project Hi all, It's been a very long time (years) since my last post here, as I moved to the UK in 2013. Wasn't planning such a long stint here, but that's how life turned out! I've had my 1974 260Z (2-seater) sitting in storage in Adelaide during that time - with regular visits home to check in! I bought the car in Victoria in 2009 and fully stripped back to bare metal, sandblasted and all panels repaired and replaced with shiny new metal (some shots below of WIP). The body is now sitting as a primed shell and ready for filler/ sanding and paint. I also have more than all the running gear, including 2x engines (L26 and L28), 2x tranmissions. 2x Diffs (incl. 4.11 LSD), disc brakes conversion, etc. to do a full rebuild. All interior, glass, dash, etc. all in storage along with the body ready for rebuild (collected multiple parts/ components along the journey). I'm not planning to return to Australia anytime soon, so I'm now thinking its time to clear out my storage shed and sell the the 260Z project to someone who will finish the build. It's not matching numbers, but everything will be included and probably the best condition shell available - spent a small fortune on panel work and replacement, before putting it into storage! I'm looking to get a rought indication market value for the whole lot - let me know what you think. Cheers, - J.B. gav240z and Balinski
