JDM-TOY
Recieved a few pictures today of the doors today after being blasted and epoxy primed and It seems that whoever did these dodgy repairs had a pop revit fetish. I wonder what it looks like underneath that "repair" plate. Edited March 1, 2018 by JDM-TOY

JDM-TOY
Who are you getting to do your car Youhan? That's why I don't like flares... Hey Brabham I have taken it to Outer West Smash in Penrith. Marcel has a panel shop and a media blasting booth. Just makes it easy dealing the one person. Yeah flairs are not my thing too

JDM-TOY
Hey guys Visited the old girl today to check out the body after the media blasting. Rear quater had previous damage, floors are mint, under car was really clean except some small dents, sills are perfect and the rear guards need obvious work. I have picked two outer and one innder repair panels (not from warren) but will need to order one left inner from MSA. Slowly but surely its coming together. gav240z and CBR Jeff

JDM-TOY
The Build Progresses Just an update on the build. Had the rear inn and outer wheel arch cut out all the way down to the dog leg and in up to the boot inner wheel arch. Had some rust built up in the lower dog leg that will also be repaired. I really want to open up that sill panel to see whats happening inside Just waiting on some parts to arrive from MSA and Tabco. Seriously I spent over $1600 in just shipping costs from the US. From MSA I purchased new reproduction tail lights part number 33-1168A. New Datsun reproduction Competition Steering Wheel part number 50-3157. Fairlady 432 Style Rear Spoiler part number 50-1611. Rear Emblem Fairlady Z part number 31-1120. And some rear quater glass weather strips for inner and outer part number 34-1010 & 34-1011. Inner wheer arch repair panel part number 30-7308. Hopefully should be in late next week Edited March 20, 2018 by JDM-TOY

260DET
As a general comment it's great to see you blokes restoring these for so long neglected cars. And ending up with a valuable driver's car with almost unlimited potential any way you want to go, or not. You'll never regret it. JDM-TOY
Hi Guys Just a small update I think the Rust gods have been kind to me as we cut open the passengers sill and found no rust inside, I couldn't believe my eyes. So the inner replacement guard has been tek screwed in place and aligned. Had to put the passenger door back on to align the inner and outer guards. The small issue we had was that the outer replacement panel was kind of wonky and on a angle so we had to fold and cut it down from the inner dog led section. Also hat to align and cut the panel to make it sit straight on the rear quarter. Probably will have this section finished next week some time but I think I will need to get a new passenger door skin from Rare Spares but not cheap through their Ebay store https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Datsun-240Z-260Z-Left-Hand-Door-Skin-Rare-Spares-Adelaide/332577050708?epid=1476235454&hash=item4d6f231054:g:CBYAAOSwEEBaMD5p Has anybody used their door skins on the restoration project?? gav240z
