Nice looking 905 red early 240z on BAT.

I'm a sucker for 905 red with black steelies. My first 240z looked like this when I went to inspect it. So always brings back fond memories.

Interesting article.

I’ve always loved the 280zx and 300zx despite the hate they get. I always keep my eye out and prices are definitely rising, 300zx in particular. They used to sit around the 20k mark not a year or two ago, and now decent condition ones are listing for 40k. Have I missed the boat....

What, more than 100 grand for that pile? Why so much?

Have to love the LH dogleg repair... if it could ever justify being called a repair...

Suggest you forward to every punter coming on this site wanting to buy a Zed... ;D ;D ;D and whinging about the cost...

The google translated text may indicate this could be the post restoration price??

Or maybe on top of the purchase price??

The period is 4 to 5 months, and there is no need to wait for up to half a year.

It is a system that you pay according to the progress of the work in multiple times instead of lump-sum payment.

Body color is free to choose, so please let us know after it makes a successful bid.

Exactly. They are selling a 'project' where the customer pays in stages for a restoration where they get to call some of the spec details to their choice. Like a kind of 'bespoke' build.

Righto. I thought there must surely be some kind of angle to it for all those $$$ or Yen, but was thinking along the lines of maybe it's a super-duper rare version of a S30 or maybe one once owned by a celebrity...

OK. Personally if I was prepared to shell out that kind of coin I would be expecting them to start with a better base car than that one, it doesn't look confidence inspiring. Just as with a building project, if there is a cost and/or time blow-out then quality suffers. The intending owner would be well advised to monitor the repair build quality very closely. ;D

What a beautiful car.

Something that has always bugged me with sellers wanting high prices is why can they not spend the extra $150 and have the dash vents chromed? Maybe also replace the pedal rubbers.

A lot of many has been spent on the resto and these small details make all the difference.

Happy to be called a dick for my comment :)
