Set of used tokico illumina 5-ways for sale from a 240z ('73). Some history:

I purchased my car 1 year ago with these fitted. When I took the car into midas for a RWC I was told that my suspension was worn in both front and rear and needed replacement (in addition to a list of 1000 other things..). I replaced both front and rears with new KYBs - front's had some monroes and the rears had these illuminas (odd combo I know).

When I drove the car with these fitted prior to the RWC I thought nothing of the suspension and in my opinion there was never anything wrong with them in the first place. Both of the rear strut cartridges compress and rebound normally and the 5 way adjustment functions perfectly too. The plastic adjuster piece on 1 of the shocks has been broken however you can still adjust with a flat blade screwdriver and the dial rests on top so you know which position the valve is in. I am not sure when the illuminas were initially fitted to the car, however, they are sold on the basis of a lifetime warranty!

I would use them myself however can't be bothered pulling the struts out again to swap over (+ also purchasing a set of fronts at close to $450 AUD shipped!). I would recommend inspection for your own peace of mind but I cant spot a fault. Keep in mind - the same mechanic who said they needed replacement also said that replacing the mechanical fuel pump gasket was a very complex job because you have to be extremely careful that the mechanical arm does not intersect with the camshaft when you put it back in as otherwise this will cause serious engine damage!!! What a DH...

Price $100
